About the author

Des Walsh is a business coach and blogging evangelist, with lengthy experience as an executive and consultant in both the public and private sectors. He has authored or co-authored reports and manuals, in diverse fields from government policy in education and the arts, to training manuals for executives in the transport industry and an operations manual for the management of an online showcase for innovative technologies.

As a coach, Des specializes in supporting business owners wanting to make effective use of blogging and other social networking tools. He is a founding member of the International Association of Coaches. A member of several online social networking communities, including OpenBC and LinkedIn, Des is moderator of the LinkedIn Bloggers group and co-author of the recently published book Happy About LinkedIn for Recruiting. He is one of several professional bloggers contributing to the Business Blog Consulting weblog and has several blogs of his own, including Thinking Home Business, a blog dedicated to sharing ideas with entrepreneurs and professionals who think globally and have chosen to work from home.
